Call for Papers

The German Society of Glass Technology (DGG) proudly invites submissions for its annual conference in Goslar. This is a unique opportunity for researchers, industry experts and professionals to contribute to an influential dialogue in the world of glass science and technology. Join us in making this event a hub of innovation, insight, and collaboration.

We are on the lookout for novel research, case studies and innovations that resonate with this year's core themes. Our sessions span a range of topics, including:

  • Session 1: Relaxation, Glass Transition, and Structure of Glasses
  • Session 2: Volume and Surface Properties of Glasses and their Characterisation
  • Session 3: Glass Applications and Application related Challenges
  • Session 4: Computer Simulations, AI, and Machine Learning in Glass Research and Production
  • Session 5: Industrial Glass Melting, Recycling and Raw Materials*
  • Session 6: Glass Forming, Post-Processing and Quality Control*
  • Session 7: Additive Manufacturing and New Processing Techniques of Glasses*

*The contributions in these session can also be held in German. They will be presented in German-language sessions and merged into a German-language strand if demand is high.

Submissions should not only reflect technical excellence but also aim to inspire, challenge, and push the boundaries of conventional thought.

Your contribution has the potential to shape discussions, influence peers, and drive the future trajectory of glass science and technology. Each paper will undergo a review process.

Please ensure that all submissions adhere to our guidelines and are sent before the stipulated deadline, 20.12.2024. Those selected will be notified in due course after the submission deadline and will be given a platform to present their work to a global audience of industry leaders, researchers, and fellow professionals.
