Scientific posters are an important part of the 99. Glass-Technology Conference, offering researchers, young scientists, and industry professionals the opportunity to present their work, exchange ideas, and engage in in-depth discussions with the glass community.
Posters will be displayed throughout the entire conference in the Foyer Franconia Saal. In addition, the dedicated Poster Session will take place on Tuesday, 2 June 2026, from 15:40 to 17:00 during the Coffee Break. The best posters will be honoured during the Conference Banquet Dinner on Tuesday evening.
Detailed information on poster format, submission handling and related guidelines can be found here.
The three best posters will receive certificates and prize money:
1st place: €400
2nd place: €300
3rd place: €200
To ensure a fair and transparent selection process, all posters will be reviewed independently by a jury of three to four experts. The jury members will evaluate the posters individually and then compare their assessments to determine the three winning contributions.
Please note that only scientific posters submitted by or in collaboration with universities, research institutions or institutes will be considered for the Poster Awards. Purely company-related posters or promotional contributions are not eligible for the award selection.
The evaluation is based on the following criteria:
Each criterion will be assessed on a scale from 1 = very good to 6 = not good / insufficient.
The Poster Awards recognise outstanding scientific work, clear communication and the successful presentation of research that contributes to current developments in glass science and technology.
